Nope, the Ace was made by ex-Sinclair engineers, but working independenty. ( As Ace Cantab, I think). The ZX-80, ZX-81 & ZX Spectrum were all Sinclair machines. I think the Ace was (very loosely) based on the Spectrum (a colour machine). (There were a couple of decent Forths for the Speccy.) }The good old days.
