I recently sent the following message out regarding a problem we were having
with our MIT cscheme installation.  We haven't had any replies and I am
getting pretty desperate.  If anyone has any suggestions, please advise.

We have recently attempted to install cscheme from MIT and all seemed to go
reasonably well until the end of the installation when the
script loaded scheme and then a bunch of files were
loaded and purified.  After about 12 files we get the following
error message:

      Purify phase error   9a0,  99f
        numunp.bin loaded
        Inconsistency detected
        Error code 1
        STOP

and scheme is unusable.  When we try to invoke it she
bombs.

Any help would be appreciated.
