I am trouble getting the ordinary notify on an ultrix machine.
I do

setenv MAIL "20 /usr/spool/mail/$USER"

and I set notify, but for some reason I don't get any notifications.

Are there any 'sets' or other actions in a .login or .cshrc file which
can kill the set notify?
