I sent a message to a non-existent mail alias (i.e., I used an incorrect name for a system mail alias) by using the following commandline: mush -s "censored" st-c++ After I had ostensibly sent the message, I got the following silly diagnostic: Saved unfinished letter in ~/dead.letter For normal non-existent users, for example "bogeyman", I get: bogeyman... User unknown I talked SMTP directly to our mail server and it gave the correct "User unknown" diagnostic for "st-c++". What gives?
