I think if you're using System V unix that you should have a "uudemon.cleanup" script in /usr/lib/uucp which is run from "cron" nightly. It should be combining the daily uucp logs in to a single file in /usr/spool/uucp/.Old, and archiving 1 or more previous such combined logs. If it's not there, your unix might have been ported oddly, or it might have been decommissioned for some admin reason... Some of the PD scripts around will give a uucp/mail/news summary of activity, - they give the per-site byte counts of data sent/received for uucp, & similar data for news & mail.
