I am just relaying the facts as I recall them. I spoke to some folks at CMU about getting MACH for MACs. The deal is that Apple funded the programmers to do the port at CMU. Now the MACH folks are waiting for Apple to decide wether or not they want to release MACH as supported software. So, everyone will have to wait until either Apple makes up their minds or, some time limit runs out. If the later happens (or Apple decides not to support MACH), CMU will have to option to distribute the OS themselves (more likely they will have XINU do it). Of course, this assumes that all proprietary code is removed from the system. That's the scoop (as far as I know) Charlie Fineman
