I recently discovered that the Ibm-nets list was corrupted which may be part of the reason for held files to Ibm-nets. I checked with Eric Thomas who informed me that the entire Listserv disk was corrupted so the backup copy that Listserv keeps was also damaged. I then checked with Bitnic where I was informed that no backup was run for 2 months during the summer so the only restorable copy is from after when the corruption occurred. I luckily have a copy of the list from mid-July which I am sending to Bitnic to replace the current mucked up copy and Ibm-nets should start to function properly again albeit with a distribution list from July 15th.
