Yup. Got one upstairs in my office. You have to remove ~1/4" of plastic from the bottom of the slot on the 1000 for the baseplate of the 590 to fit in. Other than that, it's plug and play (and a 1000 with 20MB of disk and 2.5MB of RAM ain't all that bad).
