During one of the stupidest years of my life (freshman year in college), I sold the whole kit and kiboodle for a song. I miss the games; I want to write an Atari 800 (or 130XE) simulator in a high level language, preferably C. My hardware platform is likely to be my AT compatible with EGA graphics. Another possibility is Unix with X Windows. Has anyone tried/done this? If so, what level of success did you have? Even if the speed of the simulation is unacceptable for games, I want to do this for the challenge and experience. I'd appreciate any pointers, and especially donations of unused Atari reference manuals, particularly those on 6502 architecture, Atari architecture, and the OS internals. Something like Mapping the Atari would be so useful, but it's tough to find Atari books in the stores these days. Thanks! ---------- Victor Kan *** ***** USnail: Data General Corporation *****
