I have a MegaST2 with no hard disk. I use an IBM system at work. It would be so convenient to carry files back and forth between my computer at home (ST) and my computer at work (IBM). It works going from work to home. I have even gotten a disk formatted on the Atari and fixed to read on IBM to not give the error reading the disk on the IBM. This indicates to me the the boot-sector stuff got set up correctly. However, if the disk is written on by the Atari, then when I try to read that disk on the IBM, IBM says that the disk is a brand-new, formatted OK, EMPTY disk. E-M-P-T-Y! No files, all space available for use! So I run back to the Atari, it says that all my files are there. Atari likes them, it reads them just fine. IBM can't even see them. This even happens using PC-DITTO, so the emulation seems to be real good. To state it simply - Atari can read IBM written disk and files, IBM can not find files written onto a disk by my Atari even though it (IBM) can use the disk just fine. What is happening, why, and how can I fix it? Thanks, Terry -- T. Terrell Banks uucp: { 'insert a backbone name here' }!gatech!prism!iadt3tb Georgia Insitute of Technology - I.S.A.
