My friend has an IBM PC from around 1983-1985.  He wants to install a
1.44 meg drive to replace one of the 360's he has now.  Can he do it?

I have heard frightening tales of bios upgrades, hardware goose chases
and finally, motherboardocide.

What's involved in doing something like this?
