I am about to write some macros to handle three-column page
layout in troff.  I have done two-column stuff in the past
for SSC's pocket references so this isn't a big deal but
I thought I would see what others might have before I
get in too deep.

Essentially I am looking for something to lay out a newsletter
page.  I will need page heading, big titles that can span columns
and some other funny stuff.  Drop caps (I think that is the right
name, the big capital letter at the beginning of a paragraph)
would also be nice.

Any ideas, pieces and suggestions would be appreciated.  If
you e-mail answers I will post a summary and eventually post
the finished package.
