Is Rodime formatting software > compatible with A/UX? 2.03 claims to be capable of creating A/UX partitions, but it does it wrong. Feel free to use their software to make the MacOS and A/UX partitions, but then you will have to boot A/UX and use the dp(1) program to fix the Logical Parition Size field in the A/UX partition created by the rodime software. They set it to zero, it should be the same size as the Physical Partition Size field. However, if I were you, I'd toss the partitioning software for the damned thing, just do the low level format, and then use dp(1) to create the paritions themselves. About 8 months ago I posted detailed instructions and some software that allows you to manipulate dpm entries and block zero of the hard disk. I don't have what I wrote anymore, but perhaps someone on the Newbury mailing list or an old comp.unix.aux reader might have it. -- "I just forgot about how Americans are. They're always grinning.
