Message-ID: <89Sep18.230742edt.30761@snow.white.toronto.edu> Sender: Organization: Ziebmef home away from home Date: 19 Sep 89 03:08:23 GMT The version of the resolver library DEC supplies only seems to find one instance of a multi-interfaced host (eg one on two subnets); xhost at least exhibits this behavior. Since we have a number of such machines, I'd like to recompile xhost with the 4.3 BSD resolver routines. But I can't seem to generate a version that doesn't wind up waiting more-or-less forever deep down in the guts of select(). Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance; I will summarize. -- "I shall clasp my hands together and bow to the corners of the world."
