If we try to access /dev/rmt0 the tape drive works as expected However /dev/nrmt0 does not. If we do a mt -f /dev/nrmt0 fsf 1 it complains ''unknown device'' but an ls -l /dev/nrmt0 says its there. We are new to the Sun machines and this particular tape drive has had a lot of problems. This could be anything from a hardware problem to a RTFM problem. Any ideas as a starting point.
