What software do we need to run "ftp" ? 

Also, how does "ftp" connect? 
Does it do a direct dial to the site or does it bounce from the source site 
through others nodes to reach the destination ?

We are currently running SCO XENIX 2.2.3 (about to install 2.3.2 GT ).

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
