As long as we keep trying to force terminal based systems to fit into the window system world, we will have such loose ends. We would seem to need a way to register people with window systems, so that a talk daemon could pop up a talk window on the appropriate display, etc. Bill -- Bill Janssen janssen.pa@xerox.com (415) 494-4763 Xerox Palo Alto Research Center 3333 Coyote Hill Road, Palo Alto, California 94304
