a) Is the client also responsible for illuminating the little
   Num/Caps/Scroll lock and Compose LEDs on my Sun 4 keyboard?

If the answer to a) is no, then this Numlock argument should heat
up a bit.  But if the answer is yes, then two more questions:

b) Can I add this illuminating behavior without source for all
   of my applications?

c) What Xlib call do I use to light my LEDs?
