I received a number of replies to my question about using alternate
fonts with Xview which solved the most of my problems.  The remaining
problem was fixed by noticing that the Sun dumpfont utility has a silly
default value for the number of characters it used in output file names
and as a result, our long font file names were mapping to several short ones.
This was fixed by using the -f flag in the dumpfont utility.

Anyway, I wanted to thank all those who responded.  By the way, I tried
sending directly to ames!gotham.east.sun.com!susan@sun.com and
got bounced back.  You might want to check your gateway.
