You'll find the pty driver QUITE robust and BOSS does the same job MultiView does, but is free. You get source to both driver and BOSS. It has appeared on recent VAX SIG tapes among other places. I wonder sometimes how they can sell multiview to anyone, but then I guess there are lots of folks out there who just don't know how VERY much is available freely. I've found it REAL easy to fill several gigs of disk with PD materials of high value (much of it compressed, yet!) and could fill a good many more if I had 'em.
