Perhaps the output weightings could be calculated with reference to a "suggested" value (i.e. DIRECT, DAILY, etc), with the tuning parameter to be the ratio of suggested to log data or something analagous... Where are such scripts? I'd be willing to mess with this if I didn't have to start from scratch...
