	I was wondering my self about cyclic behavior of
	such systems. It's fairly likely to occur, so a
	method of tuning is needed. Perhaps the output
	weightings could be calculated with reference to
	a "suggested" value (i.e. DIRECT, DAILY, etc), with
	the tuning parameter to be the ratio of suggested
	to log data or something analagous...

	Where are such scripts? I'd be willing to mess with
	this if I didn't have to start from scratch...
