The University newspaper, although it is owned by the University, has no rights to censor any articles, as current legal interpretations of the law exist in the U.S. (This is not the case for High Schools, when a well written article was denied to be printed in the H.S. paper, the school was found to have the right because of property laws.) Of course, this notion teaches responsibility to the student. Denying final editorial power over the paper will teach what responsibilities he has in the real world. Will you have the guts to accept responsibility for those who never learned it until AFTER they graduate from college and the boat sinks? Hmm? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------
