I know this question must be brought up again and again,
but I was wondering if someone could explain how to set-up
a "kill file."

Does this file begin with "." (like .signature)?
Does it work when you use vnews to read the news?

Can you supress articles according to subject,
author, keywords, crossposted newsgroups, etc?
How would one (well, me actually) do this?
