 TARFU means Things Are Really F**ked Up. Any acronym with FU at the end means
much the same.

 Wrong! It stands for 'In My *Humble* Opinion'.

 The difference is that 'humble' is ironic: it usually follows some pompous or
questionable statement.

 Another abbreviation is FYI: For Your Information.
