They have no meaning to the rest of 'news' per se. Therefore the way to find out about Kill files is to read the 'rn' documentation. There is adequate description there. Readers should take no offense at 'RTFM' answers here, because one of the most IMPORTANT lessons for new Usenet users is in fact to consult all available offline documentation first, BEFORE posting queries to the net. The net cannot, *cannot* replace standard documentation.
