One is _The Netnews Reference Guide_ published by ASP, San Jose, Calfiornia (ISBN 0-935739-10-6). For a couple of bucks, this handy little pamphlet contains a lot of easily accessible information on readnews, rn, vn, vnews, administration and system commands, and newsgroup descriptions. 99% of all the questions asked in this newsgroup about news and newsreaders could have been answered by reading this simple 36-page pamphlet.
