I live in the south suburbs. I put up humingbird feeders so do my parents (2 blocks away), and my inlaws (.5 mile away), we all get hummingbirds. The Chicago Audubon Society in a early spring paper, had a article on them in this area along with a questionaire to fill out about there summer activities. They are more common than you think. Kathy
