I have a book called "Interfacing to the IBM Personal Computer" by Lewis Eggebrecht, published by Howard W. Sams (Indianapolis, IN), $16.95. It has chapters on the microprocessor, bus cycles, system bus signal descriptions, timings, mechanical and power specs, DMA, high speed transfer, etc. I've found it quite helpful; it has "typical" circuits, as well. Sams books are widely available; I got mine at a local computer store. I'm sure you could mail order from Indianapolis, worst case. Gordon Letwin
