Deluxe Paint saves pictures in files that have extention .LBM and it includes a conversion program that can transfer between this and some other formats. Information on the convert utility is enclosed. Does anyone know where I can find a description of the format of the .LBM files, or some of the formats supported by the convert utility ? = = Electronic Arts Picture File Conversion Utility (v1.0) = ------------------------------------------------------ = This program converts pictures from one format to another. = Usage: convert [-g] = Input type can be: = -d: DeluxePaint = -p: PC Paintbrush 3.0 = -w: Microsoft Windows Paint = -m: MacPaint = Output type can be: = -d: DeluxePaint = -p1: PC Paintbrush 3.0, CGA 320 x 200 = -p2: PC Paintbrush 3.0, CGA 640 x 200 = -p3: PC Paintbrush 3.0, EGA 640 x 350 = -p4: PC Paintbrush 3.0, Hercules = -p5: PC Paintbrush 3.0, MCGA 320 x 200 = -w: Microsoft Windows Paint = -m: MacPaint = If you add the "-g" option and your output type is Windows Paint or = MacPaint, the picture will be dithered to simulate shades of gray. = This will lose some detail, but may be more appropriate for certain = multi-colored pictures. -- Einar Kjartansson | eik@os.is Orkustofnun (National Energy Authority) | eik@geysir.uucp Grensasvegi 9, IS-108 Reykjavik, Iceland | mcvax!hafro!geysir!eik Phone: 354-1-83600 Fax: 354-1-688896 Home: 354-1-16407
