Keywords: A501 clock problems Message-ID: <2460@bingvaxu.cc.binghamton.edu> Date: 24 Sep 89 18:27:24 GMT Reply-To: consp11@bingvaxu.cc.binghamton.edu (Optimist Prime) Organization: SUNY Binghamton, NY Lines: 27 I've had my Amiga 500 for two years now, and I've recently beenhaving some troubles with it's A501 card. I'm running a completely unexpanded system (i.e.: 1 disk drive, no speedups, no extra hardware at all, etc.) aside from my A501. Sometimes, when I boot up, the SETCLOCK OPT LOAD command in my startup-sequence returns instead of the current date and time. This has happened to me twice this week, and about four times in the past year. (I've had it for about 1 and a half years). I've tried re-seating it a number of times (the computer travels to and from my school with me 4 times a year), and it seems fine, but then out of nowhere, it dies again. Does anybody have any suggestions? +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | /// Brett Kessler \\\ | | /// \\\ | | \\\/// E-Mail to: consp11@bingvaxu.cc.binghamton.edu \\\/// | | \XX/ and to: consp11@bingvaxa.BITNET \XX/ | | Amiga agimA | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | "I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing: that it all started | | with a mouse." -- WALT DISNEY | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | "If you want a friend in this life, get a dog." -- SIGMUND FREUD | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | "When I was kidnapped, my parents snapped into action.
