 I got the following bug running emacs (18.52.7 of thu feb 23 1989) under X-windows
on an IBM PC RT. 

  Sometimes "C-h b" gives the error "wrong type argt: listp, #<emacs bug: illegal
datatype  (#o 40) ..."

  I enclose a dribble-file (opening which was the first command I did) and debugger
output from an instance of this bug . I reproduced it several times with similar
input.

  Here is the dribble-file (it is full of non-printing characters & I don't have
uudecode to hand so this is the output from "od -cb dribblefile")
