I'm looking for help. I am a technical writer, using WordPerfect 5.0 and Ventura Publisher 2.0 on a PC-AT compatible, for output to a NEC LC-890 PostScript printer. I'm having problems importing text files that include extended characters into Ventura. Ventura simply drops the characters. What I am trying to do is show illustrations of terminal screens, some of which include windows with borders around them. The borders are no problem within WordPerfect, or as text files, or whatever. However, when I bring the files into Ventura, the line drawing characters disappear. Xerox Product Support tells me that that's the way it works. I believe that what I need is a Ventura-and-PostScript compatible monospaced typeface that has box drawing characters instead of the international characters. Can anybody help me find one? I realize I could draw the boxes in Ventura. The problem with that is that there will be many screens to illustrate, and I'd rather not draw these lines three or four hundred times. The screens are all different, so I can't simply produce one and re-use it. As always, your help is appreciated. I'll summarize any responses I receive, if anyboody cares. Please email to oheare@gandalf.UCP, or gandalf!oheare. Failing that, a phone call to me at (613) 723 6500 extension 8407 will always work. Thanks. -- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ gandalf!oheare or maybe oheare@gandalf.UUCP or else +1 613 723 6500 ext 8407 "There's plenty of room," said Alice, sitting down in a large disclaimer at the head of the table.
