It is a small, well- commented version of DBW with some features missing and some added. Among the missing features are fractals, wood/marble textures, snowfall, and mottling. Some added features are: a nice dithering algorithm to remove Mach banding, variable sky color (different horizon/zenith), and the use of an octree to reduce overall calculation time. It's main purpose is to be a learning tool, which is why it's small and well-commented. Anyone interested in learning the basics of ray-tracing would do well to get this program. ---Prem Subrahmanyam
