I wouldn't say my performance is poor. You are certainly getting good throughput. My comments were based on previous experience with someone who wanted to get a dowload from me to a VMS system. You may have a better version, better connection, or less loaded machine. All I can comment on is what I have observed, which was slow. In general slow line turnaround caused by communications or machine load will severely impact thruput, and adding buffers will improve performance under these conditions.
