We are indeed being anxiously patient for the birth.  My wife, who 
sometimes looks over my shoulder while I'm reading mail, and who has
a fair grasp of computers (for an economist) opines that she knows
EXACTLY when it will be released  -  during Christmas, and then I will
spend the entire holiday period hunched over the computer, cursing because
my crc numbers don't match the ast numbers.

If you have frozen things, Andy, it would be good if you could release
a crc listing early.  That way, we could begin ensuring that we have all
of the stuff, and also know which of the different products released over
the net (such as stdio, etc.) WON'T be part of 1.4b.
