Does anyone have any info regarding Disk Striping on a UNIX Operating System.

I don't have hardware to support bit/byte level striping. I am going to attempt
to do sector level striping accross N disks. I'm also going to allow a single
filesystem span N disks. I'd be interested in attaining papers on this subject
and general feelings.
