They 3c501 is VERY particular about how to touch it when sending large broadcast frames. I think the actual number was more like 102 bytes. Most drivers typically get lucky since ARP frames are small. Basically, the board gets confused when it sends a frame that its own receiver recognizes as a receivable address. I don't remember exactly how I fixed it, you'll have to look at the MIT/CMU/Harvard PCIP code. Drew
