You don't say what you've set the other AMS_DeliveryViaXXX parameters
to, or for that matter, what you set the AMS_DeliveryViaGethostbyname
parameter to.

Sounds like you don't have AMS_DeliveryViaDomainMXAddress set to a TRUE
(non-zero) value, though.  What did you learn from the documentation? 
Or even the commentary in the mailconfig.c source?
