Lines: 16 Rather than speculate on why Iverson did this, why not somebody ask Iverson? I can send fan mail to Minsky, Knuth, Denning, and even Backus on why Fortran is the way it is. You can't do this in lots of disciplines (and I don't mean to imply email). This was something at Don Norman as psychologist noted about news: people willing to speculate, few to verify.
