Here is a possible bug in nethack 3 patch 4.  I was in an antique shop and
bought a two-handed sword.  A couple of moves later i picked up another and
tried to drop it.  nethack said something like:
   "dropped two-handed sword (unpaid)"
   "you sold a two handed sword for 25 gold pieces (or whatever)"

i tried this again and sure enough it would let me pick up the sword, label it 
as unpaid and then give me money when i dropped it again.
