Summary: Yes, it works Keywords: MS-DOS floppies Message-ID: <5034@cbnewsm.ATT.COM> Date: 5 Oct 89 18:10:21 GMT References: <1159@corpane.UUCP> Reply-To: chip@cbnewsm.ATT.COM (Chip Christ) Distribution: na Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories Lines: 17 The very first piece of commercial (paid for ;-) software for my son's "stock" 2000HD was CrossDOS. When mounted, the **single** 3.5 drive is alternatively accessible as DF0: (Amiga) and DI0: (MS-DOS); DI0: (for IBM?) is the default naming convention-- you can roll your own, if you want. However, for **single** floppy systems, there is a patch which must be installed to fix a bug which has been discussed in this newsgroup previously. It comes with the package, and instructions for modifying the STARTUP procedure to install the patch automatically were clear enough that I could do it even though I had no previous experience mucking AmigaDOS. Unfortunately, I can't remember any more detail, and the system & documentation are 300 miles away, at school. Chip
