If so, is there a driver available,...what would the mountlist ] entry look like,...etc. Thanks in advance, ] Good question. If you have a generic SCSI tape drive, the chances are the answer is no. There are no drivers...yet. And thereby hangs a tale. What is needed is a generic SCSI port which anybody can hang a driver on. This is slowly coming about. At the time of the 2090, the idea was not implemented [considered?]. It is imperfectly implemented in the 2090A as the scsidisk.i|h protocol. I am given to understand it is non-functional because SCSI error codes are not returned properly. I think that the protocol is implemented in the 2091, but who has seen one? So where does that leave us? I think C Ltd. has a tape drive you can use for backups, if that is your only concern. There is also the VCR-Streamer due to emerge RSN from the Wedge folks. Myself I want to see a generic SCSI port for which I can write a CD-ROM driver & a Panasonic3511 driver & a WORM driver. There are all kinds of neat SCSI devices which the Amiga should be able to use. Anybody at CBM want to discuss scsidisk progress? <-Harvey "A sadist is someone who is kind to a masochist" Harvey Taylor Meta Media Productions uunet!van-bc!rsoft!mindlink!Harvey_Taylor a186@mindlink.UUCP
