Okay, I wanted to record some Amiga stills and anims to show as a demo for a graphics class I was taking. I recorded several Turbo Silver stills, a Ham picture of Spock, several anims (CAR, Berserk, Rocker, Juggler, and a few others. I also recorded the NewTek Demo Reel I in its entirety. When I looked at the final tape, I was pleased, considering the quality of the VCR. So what's the problem, you might ask. (I hope so :^)) Well, I recently got the program AniMagic, and I was planning on recording several images and image transitions (called DVE's in AniMagic: e.g. fades, page turns...) to a tape for another demonstration. I decided to use some of the images from the NewTek Demo Reel I, since they are very colorful. I loaded the picture of the girl with the hat and scarf into AniMagic. Well, one of the bits of information given to you by the program is the resolution of the image, in the format: Width x Height x Bit Planes x # Frames (1 if not an animation) Well, to my surprise, this image has only 200 lines in the height field. I noticed that several others from this demo also have only 200 lines. Then I tried to load CAR and Berserk, but neither of them will fit. However, when I looked at them using the player program, it appears that they are also NOT INTERLACED!!! Now my question: HOW WAS IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO RECORD THESE IMAGES AND ANIMATIONS WHEN THEY ARE NOT INTERLACED??????? Being able to record non-interlaced images would be a miracle for me, since most of the images I have from demo disks and slide show programs (e.g. dpslide) are NON-INTERLACED. I would appreciate any help for this. I do not feel like spending 20 hours making a 5 minute anim of video effects from AniMagic, only to find out that, using the player DiskAnim to play the multi-Megabyte anim, I cannot record it to tape.
