In "Planning Domain Networks and Internets" (page 7-3) it says T1 links can only be used between ATR networks. Another limitation is the Domain/BridgeA controller which is a MULTIBUS device. Well let's say we have (3) 3500s and (1) dn10000 on a local 802.3 network, and a couple of 3500 orphans at least a mile away. It is not possible to connect the orphans into the campus LAN due to distance/property restrictions. I would like to connect the orphans point-to-point with 802.3 and let one of them be a gateway to our campus Apollo nodes via T1. This seems reasonable to me, but does the hardware exist yet ? Thanks in advance for any help. Andrew Wescott University of Houston Department of Chemical Engineering
