I'm no authority on IIgs's, but from what I have heard/read, if you
own an Applied Engineering ram card, it will not work.  What I have
heard is that about the only thing the Rom 3 GS's AREN'T compatible with
are memory expansion cards from AE.  You didn't mention what brand of
card you had, but I suspect this to be the problem.
