I have 1.25meg on a n apple card and am running into memory problems especially with AWGS. I just ordered an AE GS_RAM+ (2meg) from quality computers for $369. The cheapest around. It is expandable to 8meg (6meg on board and a two meg expander card). AE no longer provides the rebate for your old card. I talked to them yesterday. No what to do with the old card? Selling it will get you nothing. (realistically especially at $3.5 for 256K memory chips). My thought is that if I wanted to add another 1meg to the GS-ram+ it would cost me about $120+/-. For about the same amount, one can get a RAM keeper or memory saver which would allow you to used your old card, with your new card and also have memory backup. This is the route I will probably take when I save up some more money :-) Any advice/thought out there on this latter strategy? /chris ============================================================================= | Chris Shatara | Internet: shatara@memit.dec.com | | | shatara@memit.enet.dec.com | | Opinions expressed are | DEC Easynet: memit::shatara | | mine and mine only! | UUCP: ...!decwrl!memit!shatara | =============================================================================
