Norton Utilities on a PS/2 worked fine. It's versatile, well documented and fairly easy to use. For this particular problem, it may be possible to read in a whole lot of raw sectors using memfile (a freely-redistributable desk accessory binary editor provided by the NeoDesk folks), write out the contents as a file, and possibly spruce it up a bit with a debugger (the Atari debugger seems to have the features needed). Maybe. Norton will work for sure. Steve J.
