Anyone with BMS200, Micropolis 1357 hard drive or HDX301 Message-ID: Date: 7 Oct 89 00:43:29 GMT References: <89278.164052BGB100@PSUVM.BITNET> <9756@chinet.chi.il.us> Sender: nobody@mimsy.UUCP Organization: Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory, Univ. of Md, College Park Lines: 31 I need help getting my hard drive to format! My setup is a BMS200 card, Micropolis 1357 180MB hard drive, Atari 520 using BMSINIT.PRG version 2, HDX 3.01, and would be willing to try Supra I have tried both BMSINIT.PRG and HDX301 and could not format the thing! I do have PARITY disabled. I believe I should be setting the drive information to 11 heads, 1024 cyl, 34 s/t. Has anyone gotten a Micropolis 1357 formatted? If so, please send me a message telling me what jumpers are set? I have only W9 set on the back. I have the default jumpers on the reverse of the SCSI card on the drive. I would like to be able to use HDX301 since the 180MB requires the bigger partitions HDX offers. Has anyone gotten a non-ST506 or Megafile drive to work with HDX? Berkeley said that many drives dont work with HDX and Atari doesnt care since it only supports (!@#%$) their own drives. I greatly appreciate your help.
