I have XMODEM 4.0 and MACHTERM and Multi 7.4. (I'm not totally sure about the version numbers.) I downloaded these from BBS's, so I don't have documentation. Does anyone know how to get REGULAR ASCII from these programs? It's pretty hard to use csh in UNIX without ~ and |. Also, are there other (better) modem type programs? I downloaded KERMIT for C64, but I can't get it to boot. What's this DESTERM I keep hearing about? Shareware? Are there ftp-able archives you know of? I've heard rumors that 128.208.1.14 blake.acs.washington.edu 129.97.128.1 watmath.waterloo.edu have c64 stuff, but I haven't seen any myself. On the other hand, 128.46.135.3 maxwell.physics.purdue.edu has c64 kermit stuff: pub/c64kermit: total 361 -rw-rw-r-- 1 ray root 122880 Jun 1 23:07 README -rw-rw-r-- 1 ray root 1532 Feb 24 1989 boot-kermit -rw-rw-r-- 1 ray root 85230 Feb 24 1989 c64ker.doc -rw-rw-r-- 1 ray root 454 Feb 24 1989 c64ker.ini -rw------- 1 wayne root 112591 Jun 1 23:38 c64kermit.tar.Z -rw-rw-r-- 1 ray root 30329 Feb 24 1989 kermit pub/cmg: total 524 -rw-rw-r-- 1 ray root 77214 Aug 10 17:39 c64ker.hex -rw-r--r-- 1 ray root 449456 Aug 10 17:20 c64ker.m65 ----- - - - - - - - ---- Bernard A.
