Message-ID: <12393@boulder.Colorado.EDU> Date: 4 Oct 89 22:28:12 GMT Sender: news@boulder.Colorado.EDU Reply-To: grunwald@foobar.colorado.edu Distribution: comp Organization: University of Colorado at Boulder Lines: 13 As anyone written a little Ultrix 3.1 program to probe the ioctl() registers of the rz() device to see what's happening with a drive? I want to see if my Wren V is actually running synch. SCSI rather than async. I've enabled it in the kernel, but I'm only getting about 400Kb/s bandwidth, and you're supposed to get over 2Mb/sec. with the synch. SCSI enabled. On a similar note, has anyone figured out how to get the WREN to use the 32Kb read-ahead cache? Dirk Grunwald -- Univ. of Colorado at Boulder (grunwald@foobar.colorado.edu)
